On Thursday, May 18, Fresno-based broker-dealer SCF Securities partnered with the Central California Blood Center to host its sixth company blood drive. 

“I feel like donating blood is a charitable thing to do for those of us who have the ability to do so – something simple we can do to help others and help save lives. In some ways, I almost see it as similar to a civic duty, for those who have the ability.”

The financial services firm hosted its inaugural CCBC blood drive in May 2014 and has partnered with the non-profit organization to host five additional events.

In a letter to the firm, Priscilla Cullers from CCBC, wrote, “The efforts of SCF Securities are greatly appreciated and your support of the community blood program goes a long way toward replenishing blood supplies and ultimately saving lives.”

Blood donations to CCBC serve patients in 30 hospitals across five counties in California.
