SCF “Chain Gang” Rides Again

On Friday, May 19, employees from SCF’s national headquarters in Fresno participated in National Ride Your Bike to Work Day, commemorating National Bike Month. This is the third year in which the broker-dealer/RIA’s staff has taken part in the Ride Your Bike to Work event.

The SCF “Chain Gang,” as the employee participants call themselves, rides as a part of the SCF Cares efforts.

“Taking part in National Bike to Work Day is an easy way to get outdoors, promote bicycle safety, and create environmental awareness,” says SCF employee and participant David Bogdanov. “This is an opportunity to offset emissions created by cars, and is a simple way we can contribute to better air quality in our city.”

Employee riders came from locations throughout the Fresno area, taking advantage of water stations placed throughout the city, and wearing helmets and bright blue SCF athletic shirts for bicycle safety.

“This was definitely a good experience,” claims employee Mason Twitty. “I am actually planning now to ride my bike to work more often in the future.”

SCF Bike to Work Day is executed in partnership with the Central Valley Bike Month initiative. 348 registered cyclists rode a total of 63,324 miles during the month of May, peddling their way toward personal health, fun, and environmental stewardship.
