Financial Advisors Stop Shaving, Raise Funds for Cancer Awareness
SCF Securities launched Sunday its second annual Diamond in the Scruff campaign, the firm’s own “No Shave November” initiative promoting cancer awareness.
This initiative encourages SCF financial advisors and home office employees to put down their razors throughout the month of November to raise funds for the American Cancer Society.
The firm will donate $2 for each day a participant refrains from shaving. If a participant doesn’t shave for the entire month, SCF will double its donation, increasing that total to $4 per day. Advisors and employees who wish to participate financially can contribute via the campaign website.
SCF has committed to match up to $2,500 of the funds raised in this SCF Cares campaign. All proceeds benefit and will be paid directly to the American Cancer Society through its CrowdRise page, a secure fundraising web portal used by millions of charities and non-profit organizations worldwide.
